Project description
This project involved the structural and foundations design for a retirement home for the Associação de Beneficiência Evangélica – Lar Cristão.
This rectangular building of approximately 40 x 17 m is 8,90 metres tall and divided into three storeys. The total construction area is of 1.573,10 m2. The adopted solution featured a reinforced concrete cantilevered structure with the columns spaced according to a regular grid. It made use of mushroom floor slabs with an edge beam. Additional structural support was provided by the columns and inner structural walls.
