Project description
Although the city of Castelo Branco already possessed a district hospital, in 2000 there were no privileged accesses connecting the hospital to the national road network, namely via IP 2. In this public request for tenders, A1V2 developed the Detailed Design of an uneven junction based on the pre-existing geometries of IP 2 and EN 233.
The intervention included the creation of connections between these two roads and the addition of acceleration and deceleration lanes to the IP 2 profile, attached to the various branches from intersections. The connection to EN 233 was materialised in two roundabouts.
