Project description
The proposal for the Linda-a-Velha Primary School possessed both features of a nursery school, municipal library, public garden and underground car park.
The school complex was designed as a group of three separate bodies. The first two, the preschool and primary school, were articulated through the main hall/waiting area. The third body, independent from the other two and annex to the outdoors sports field, encompassed the areas meant for physical and sports activities. The complex also integrated outdoor leisure areas.
A1V2’s approach to the proposal for the Linda-a-Velha School focused on its design as a communal infrastructure, with all the programmatic needs such a project entails.
