Project description
It was the goal of this study to analyse layout solutions to the railway branches that connect the future logistic platforms of Angofret to the Benguela line, part of the National Logistic Platform Network of Angola. These lines seek to improve the flow and operation conditions associated with the transport of containerised cargo, seizing the window of opportunity that the rehabilitation of the Benguela line has opened.
In a first phase, the study analyses several alternate solutions, comparing technical viability, railway operability, investment expenses and impact on the pre-existing constructions. The respective final designs were developed at a later date, with the full detail necessary to its construction.
