Project description

The aim of this project was to define the geometry of the layout of the railway connecting the Lobito Port (container terminal area to the west) to the Benguela railway line to be rehabilitated on the eastern side of the port. The total length of the project was of 3,6 km, and it included a new railway bridge.

This line is intended to improve the distribution flow of merchandise via railway, avoiding the need to cross the south of the Lobito city, and all the inconveniences that such a crossing implies, while making use of the old railway line.
