PME CONNECT – An internationalisation strategy

A1V2 present at the public presentation session of PME CONNECT Project that took place on May 23rd.

PME CONNECT is promoted by AIP (Portuguese Industrial Association) and Deloitte with the support of the Casa da América Latina (Latin American House) and the Portuguese Order of Economists, this project aims “to unite strongly internationalised groups and SMEs” that may benefit from operational support through the establishment of cooperations and partnerships with large multinational groups from different areas of business.
José Eduardo Carvalho, Chairman of AIP, stressed the importance of this project in the consolidation and strengthening of the increase in exports recorded in Portugal in recent years, its weight in the GDP, due to the internationalisation of SMEs, and its fundamental effects on the Portuguese economy.
Present were the Minister of Economy, Caldeira Cabral, the CEOs and chairmen of the groups committed to the program – Mota-Engil, Sonae, Grupo Pestana, Tekever and EDP – as well as representatives from Portuguese SMEs committed to the development of common strategies.
Representing A1V2 at PME CONNECT were Maria José Vicente, Managing Partner of A1V2, and Inês Carimbo, Commercial Manager of A1V2 Portugal and Regional Director of A1V2 Colombia.
These executives were the ambassadors of A1V2, witnesses to this Portuguese company’s multifaceted nature and strong multinational and multicultural vocation, which has long faced the challenges that new international markets present.
Designed according to technical and creative criteria that reflect diversity in the close interaction between its different areas of business – engineering, architecture and urban and spatial planning – A1V2 was built on solid foundations which support a flexible and multidisciplinary structure that is able to adapt to the most modern and innovative business models, clearly focused on strengthening its already significant international presence.
Entrepreneurship, Partnership and Cooperation are the keywords that A1V2 has affirmed to the world throughout its 21 years of existence, developing work in Portugal as well as countries such as Algeria, Angola, Morocco, Namibia and Qatar.
With its active participation at PME CONNECT, A1V2 has once again demonstrated its vocation, inclination and appeal for international expansion, following in the secular footsteps of an expressive Portuguese identity.
Solid business relations across countries from four continents are roots that grow and strengthen, bolstered by highly competitive investment strategies. They are products of an entrepreneurial culture that is capable of embracing other peoples and different ways of thinking, of living and feeling, and of respecting identities.
In this manner, A1V2 leaves a lasting mark for knowing how to be and knowing how to do, assertively investing and harnessing human, technological and financial resources, taming new paths for success with determination and intelligence.
With this in mind, A1V2 made a statement at PME CONNECT as a Portuguese multinational company that looks to the future and challenges the world with boldness but also with a sense of responsibility and strength; a partner of excellence that invests, that offers itself to join efforts and to establish partnerships and protocols for cooperation as a way to assimilate experiences and practices that can catalyse sustained growth, ever more oriented towards an integrated and inclusive expansion.
So did A1V2 introduce itself and receive recognition at PME CONNECT.
