  • A1V2 supervised and provided technical assistance to the construction phase of the project for the rehabilitation of the entire railway network of Angola, comprising a length of 2645 km. Construction began in 2007 and was completed in 2017. Angola's railway network is defined by three structural lines:
    – Benguela Railway Line: The largest railway line in Angola, with a total length of 1340 km. It connects the Port of Lobito, on the Atlantic coast, to the border town of Luau, on the eastern border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. It also includes a 28 km railway branch, which connects the Port of Lobito to Benguela.

  • Works covered the full rehabilitation of existing infrastructure, including the construction of 22 new bridges and the rehabilitation of 29 existing bridges;
    – Luanda Railway Line: This line connects Luanda, the capital of Angola, to Malanje, capital of the province of the same name, over a total length of 445 km. The project included the total renovation of the railway in the Baia–Dondo and Cacuso–Malanje sections. The existing infrastructure was raised, ballast was renewed and track materials replaced, which allowed an increase of maximum track speed up to 120 km/h. In the Zenza–Cacuso section, the existing material was

    – Moçâmedes Railway Line: The Moçâmedes railway line connects the coastal town of Namibe to Menongue, in the Cuando Cubango Province, over a total length of 860 km. This line also includes two branches between the station of Entroncamento, in Dongo, and the mining areas of Tchamutete and of Jamba. Works involved the complete rehabilitation of existing infrastructure, including interventions in 33 engineering structures, 10 of which new. Construction was completed in 2015 and the line has been in operation since.
